Aqualyx® is a non-surgical, injectable fat dissolving treatment formulated to eliminate stubborn, localised pockets of fat. It utilises a synthetic variant of deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring bile acid that breaks down fat cell membranes and liquefies the fat. The liquefied cells are then permanently flushed out of the body naturally via the lymphatic system.

• Sessions: Most patients require 2 to 6 treatments per area, depending on the size of the fat deposit.
• Frequency: Treatments are spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart to allow the body to process dissolved fat.
• Duration: Each session takes 30-60 minutes. 
• Results: Initial results may appear in about 6 weeks, with optimal outcomes visible 8-12 weeks after the final session. Once the fat cells are destroyed and eliminated, the result is permanent.

 Common temporary side effects include swelling, redness, bruising, and tenderness at the injection site.
