Our PRP treatment uses the client's own blood components. Platelets play an important role in the healing process, and contain growth factors that can trigger cell production and stimulate tissue regeneration.
A small amount of blood is taken from the client and spun in a centrifuge. The yellow component of the blood is then used for treatment. Mode of delivery includes micro-needling and targeted injections for specific areas that need accelerated healing.
Medications
All blood thinning medications must be stopped before the procedure. All anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDS) including ibuprofen must be stopped 1 week before the procedure and for 2 weeks after the procedure.

It is usual that you may feel some pain during and following the injection. This may be due to the PRP procedure, micro-needling or needle flare at the injection site. You will likely experience mild to moderate pain/swelling of the treated area, that will last up to 36 hours; ice or cold compress can be applied to reduce swelling if required.
