XEOMIN® is one of the products used at Pibu to improve the look of upper facial lines. It is a purified botulinum neurotoxin type A, free from complexing proteins. It acts on the nerve endings in muscle tissue to reduce the ability of the muscle to contract. A thorough medical history will take place to determine suitability for anti-wrinkle treatment. Small amounts of product will be administered using an ultra fine needle to the areas needed. The onset of improvements usually starts within 2-3 days after treatment. Each patient results vary. The results will typically last around 4 months.
BOTOX® and XEOMIN® has been found to have similar effects in clinical studies. One unit of XEOMIN® is equal to one unit of BOTOX®.
Dysport®. is another type of botulinum toxin. One unit of BOTOX® has a potency that is approximately equal to 4 units of Dysport®.
At Pibu we use XEOMIN® or BOTOX®.
